Our Curriculum is based on the trivium. Through the trivium the student learns Grammar (the science of language), Logic (the science of reasoning and thought), and Rhetoric (the science of verbal and written expression).
In the Grammar stage the child memorizes a lot of facts in an enjoyable manner.
In the Logic stage he or she learns how the facts relate to each other.
In Rhetoric, the child learns how to research and relay or articulate the facts.
The use of the trivium results in students gaining the tools of learning, so they can go on learning for themselves. They also learn how to think, and not merely what to think.
